The Monahans facility produces two mesh types of regional sand. The site prides its self on having a minimum loading time and above grade safety and environmental industry standards. The annual production is 5.5 million tons, 6 loading lines and 24,000-ton storage capacity.

Objective And Results

B&B worked with the customer off their conceptual drawings to design the electrical for this facility. For this project it was going to be critical that we preordered as much material as possible based on limited availability. The plant has a primary plant, wash plant, wet stockpiles, dry play, screen building, storage and loadout.

PHASE 1

Whenever your working in a large mining operation, getting power to your locations is a critical start to the process whether it be overhead or underground. This project was no different with a variety of electrical runs that were overhead or underground depending on Freedom’s needs. We supplied 8 Electric houses to accommodate their load needs in some remote areas, 1000’s of feet of fiber were buried throughout the plant to have high speed control and the automation to control was designed and installed by us as well.

PHASE 2

Since completion of the project, B&B has remained when needed for day-to-day electrical service.
